Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.
This week is all about the new books on by bookshelf – some i’ve read, some are still on my TBR! I’m taking bookshelf literally, so these are the ten most recent physical books i’ve added, that I can remember.
1. American Royals, Katharine McGee
I must admit, I bought this book because of purely superficial reasons. It had pretty hot pink sprayed edges.
Having now read the blurb though I am very intrigued!
2. The Testaments (The Handmaid’s Tale #2), Margaret Atwood
I haven’t read this one yet either but I am really excited to!
I found the first book hard to read but powerful, and important and am so glad all these years later there is a sequel and we can find out more about this messed up world!
P.S. The show is also fantastic.
3. Where’d You Go, Bernadette, Maria Semple
I picked this one up at a book fair for about $2. I don’t really know much about it but I’ve seen a lot of good reviews. Also hoping since it was made into a movie, it will be a good one to read and then watch!
4. Blood Truth (Black Dagger Legacy #4), J.R Ward
The next book in a fantastic series, that is the spin off of another fantastic series!
If you want to delve into this world of badass, leather and fangs I would recommend. But also warn, it’s a big jump – there are a lot of books, long ones!
5. The Starless Sea, Erin Morgenstern
I bought this purely because The Night Circus is one of my all time favourite books.
I hope this one will make that same list!
6. I’ve Got Your Number, Sophie Kinsella
I read this one years ago and only vaguely remember the premise. I love all of Sophie Kinsella’s books and aim to won them all in physical copy one day.
Another one for the collection.
7. Wayward Son (Simon Snow #2), Rainbow Rowell
What a beautiful book to own, Baz’s suit is just amazing.
I had to pick this one up because I own and love the first book, Carry On.
8. Maybe in Another Life, Taylor Jenkins Reid
The premise of this story really interests me – i’ve always thought concurrent storylines are very cool.
Plus I loved The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – the only other book of hers i’ve read at this stage. So hoping I enjoy this one just as much.
9. Love and Other Words, Christina Lauren
It’s rare, a book of theirs I haven’t read. But this is one of them!
I have enjoyed all and loved, loved, loved some of them so this bodes well of this cutie.
10. Kiss the Sky (Calloway Sisters #1), Krista and Becca Ritchie
I really loved the Calloway Sisters series, so I bought them all in physical copy. Looking forward to when i get the time to re-read them!
